New family crests or coats of arms registration is for the individual that does not have a family achievement with a grant of patent letter, or someone wishing to combine their parent's heraldry  to create their own.  This if often done in families where the mother's family has a proud heritage and history of accomplishments and the wish is to reflect the mother's ancestry as well as the father's in the child's heraldry.  It is an excellent way to preserve a family line of history.

The petitioner will need to supply the college with copies of the heraldic artwork, letters of patent, and a genealogical chart of how the achievement has been passed down through the two family lines, or for the completely new petitioner,  one would need to write up a proposal for why they would like to be issued a grant of patent along with artwork that they feel would represent them.  A request for Hungarian grant of patent must be explained thoroughly, especially if one is not of Hungarian heritage.  Please provide as much information as possible.  More information will allow  researchers and committee members to determine the validity of the request of the petitioner.  The following will be the process that will proceed:

1. Submission of request to the Blue Cross College of Heraldry
2. Acknowledgment of receipt of required data and receipt of ($7000.00 US or 5255.00 Euros) *
3. Evaluation Process ($600.00 US/ 450.00 Euros are non-refunded) *
4. Notification of the Evaluation Process.  Depending upon the results; the petitioner will receive a written explanation of denial of request with possible suggestions for a successful submission and a partial refund, or they will receive no refund but a letter stating that the heraldry is officially accepted and that the process of creating documents and artwork is currently about to begin.
5. The new grant of patent will be registered with the Blue Cross College of Heraldry
6. Creation of artwork and grant of patent letter suitable for framing on archival rag paper.
7. Archiving of documents pertaining to new Achievement Registration.
