With the help and assistance of Catholic brothers and sisters, the Pope Benedict XVI and with special help from Opus Dei, on November 16, 2006 a Declaration of Constitutional Monarchy was made at Saint Stephen's Basilica in Budapest.
This declaration confirms George Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff as the heir to the Hungarian throne and as the nation's monarch.
On February 12, 2008 in Budapest the College of Heraldry was renewed. It was necessary to re-establish it because of the occupation and sadness of war. On that date the Supreme Court of Hungary issued and approved the establishment of the Order of the Blue Cross of Saint Stephen Foundation. It began efforts to free the people of Hungary from communist rule and will lead to Hungary's entry into the European Union in 2010.
Foundation founder George Graf und Freiherr von Bothmer zu Schwegerhoff said the establishment proves that the people want to be free, want to determine their own destiny and want to prosper and to be part of Pano-Europe. It will lead to more investment from the West. That will also lead to an improved standard of living for the people of Hungary.
"Truly a miracle in our Lord that a civilian court would see the wisdom when so much has been lost to help enact an organization that's central driving force is the preservation and restoration of Hungarian culture, history and it's ancient constitutional governmental body," he said
