The heraldic focus for the Blue Cross College of Heraldry is the former lands of the Hungarian Empire, most especially current day, Hungary. Many of the former "Soviet Bloc" nations lost their cultural roots during the communist governmental times. The philosophy of many communists is that religion and concepts of nobility were a bad thing, so they outlawed religious activities and denied families their rights to the their heraldic culture and heritage. In heraldic circles these coats of arms, crests, and mottos are referred to as achievements, and that's exactly what they are. These are achievements of our ancestors and they were granted the right to pass these honors down through the generations. Our goal is that the Blue Cross College of Heraldry & Hungarian Genealogical Research will allow those with family heritage to reclaim their past honors to pass onto their children, and that a door will be opened for future generations to earn their achievements for future generations of their family lines.
